Random observations

the crowd seems awfully fired up for an NIT game against an opponent they've never faced before.

Dickey Simpkins is working the game as an announcer.  he must be disappointed in his protege Kyle Rowley picking up three early fouls.  i guess he should have coached him up some more.

the way Doug Wojcik yells at his players really makes him look like a serial killer.  perhaps even as much as Kansas State's Frank Martin.

Tulsa has scored one field goal on its last 14 possessions, but NU is still losing.

Thanks for the updates. I don't get ESPNU so I can't watch the game.

Wow, I can't believe dickey simpkins is actually doing color commentary for a basketball game. That's like asking donte stallworth to be your chauffeur.

quick questions:

1. How many shot clock violations did we have and how many shots did we have to force up as the shot clock was running out?

2. Are we stuck in our 1-3-1 defense?

Either way, putting up 30 points in a half is huge for us. huge.

Fuck Carmody

AC - go to WGNRadio.com and dial up the audio for the game. There's a link on the front page.

didn't see any shot clock violations, although there was a late possession where Nash had the ball in his hands with 4 seconds on the shot clock and didn't know what to do.

honestly, it's hard to get a feel on this game since we missed all but the last few minutes. the whole time i watched, Moore and Thompson were on the bench with two fouls.

i think Tulsa has scored two baskets in the last eleven minutes, but NU is only up by two. Coble as usual is carrying them. hopefully he doesn't get shut down like in the second half of the Minnesota game.
