BC chat wrap

i was able to get in three questions with BC today, two as myself and one as my apparent alter-ego, Frank from Maine. i did manage to use the word "supplant" in the chat, which is nice. and i received confirmation that Bill and i just see things differently; to one of my questions he replied, "I don't think like that."

Damn, if only you could have been Bucky from Maine. Or if I had known it was going on. . . . .

It's too bad the chat wasn't better advertised as AC certainly would have had many questions for the great logician. AC definitely would have crashed the party of all of the FUCKS (those Fallen Under Carshitty's Kooky Spell) who were likely creaming their 2009 NIT first round collectors edition underoos at the chance to chat about the princeton no-offense with its brilliant fucking guru Coach Carshitty.

Some questions AC would have asked:

1. Coach Carshitty, in an ESPN article today on bubble teams, in the Notre Dame section it was said:

"The Irish also suffered three unsightly losses, falling to RPI No. 115 Northwestern (neutral court), No. 149 Rutgers (road) and No. 176 Loyola Marymount (home)."

Now many people have said this is your best team ever, and given that, how does it feel to have the best team in your TEN YEAR TENURE be referred to as being an "unsightly" loss for a BUBBLE TEAM. And unsightly is certainly the correct adjective as AC already opined about the temporary macular degeneration he came down with by watching your team lose to a team who had lost ELEVEN CONSECUTIVE games by an average of 17 points.

2. Coach Carshitty, when a team adjusts to a gimmick that you run, at what point do you decide to TRY SOMETHING FUCKING ELSE? Ohh, got you there. That was a trick question since you never fucking try anything else. You're like the Bartelby the fucking Scrivener of coaches and AC would prefer not to fucking have you do the same thing over and over and over again at NU. And of course that same thing is losing, and putting little Juice Thompson at the bottom of the asstastic 1-3-1 defense that held Penn State to a meager 75% shooting % in one half.

3. Coach Carshitty, what would you call a coach who in 10 years has never been above .500 in his league, has been to one post season tournament (and while that tournament started with an "N" it did not end with a "CAA"), lost in the first round of that one tournament, and once strung together over a 2 year period a 3 and 31 league record?

4. Boxers or briefs?

5. If you, Vladmir Nabokov, Shirley Temple, and Colonel Sanders were all in the same room, would you still be THE WORST FUCKING BASKETBALL COACH in the room? And I am not talking about if they were alive, I'm talking about you vs. dead nabokov, dead shirley temple, and dead colonel sanders?

AC is going on record as saying he expects NU to blow Indiana out tomorrow, after all, the Hoosiers are fucktastic this year. That said, Jim Phillips should have every mid-major coach on speed dial to try to get NU's program the leadership it needs.

Fuck Carmody.

AC

While i didn't necessary enjoy every answer that Coach gave, I did appreciate that he fielded a wide array. Also, it should be continually noted how accessible he has been to the media and though this has been a roller coaster season with quite a dip at the end, taking the time before what he considers to be a NIT bubble breaking game for the 'Cats (disagree) to chat with random fans like, myself is pretty cool.

NIT or not, winning 20 and beating Indiana (least favorite Big Ten team) is something every purple clad fan can agree would be nice.

PS - I still think he should have been fired 4 years ago.

just looked it up, and in fact she's still alive. even more surprising was this:

Temple was appointed United States Ambassador to Ghana by President Gerald R. Ford. She was appointed by President George H. W. Bush as United States Ambassador to Czechoslovakia.

I'm old enough to remember when Shirley Temple (then Black) was part of the US diplomatic corps. And yeah, I was surprised to see that she was still alive also, but since I didn't remember her death, I figured I'd look it up.

Hopefully NU hoops doesn't play like Shirley Temple today.
