'Cats drop another one to a good team

NU is now 0-5 against teams that are anything better than terrible. on a key possession late in OT, BC called the good ole throw-up-a-three-at-the-shot-clock-buzzer play. and the AC rant begins in three, two, one...

1/24 update: NU is now 0-6 against teams that are anything better than terrible.

1/26 update: NU is now 0-7 against teams that are anything better than terrible.

1/29 update: NU is now 0-8 against teams that are anything better than terrible.

I am no AC, but I think that this team has peaked under Carmody. At worst, NU will be 6-12 and at best, NU will be 8-10. Not enough wins vs. RPI Top 50, and while, this team does not share anything with the 1 and 2 win Big Ten seasons of the past, we are still not good enough in a slightly overrated Big Ten to finish in the top 6 or maybe 7th if we got some quality wins. Throw in a terrible non-conf schedule that didn't provide a SINGLE quality win, and you get a team that isn't going anywhere.

Also, every Big Ten team keeps hearing about how NU has improved, so the effort that they put in/prepare with is much, much more that in the past, so we are not sneaking up on anyone anymore.

we need to refine the bat signal for AC. maybe instead of a bat halo, change it to the logo for Vivid Video.

He is the worst in-game coach in the Big Ten. He has no idea how to win a tight ballgame. Not calling timeout with 10 seconds left and in a tie game is just plain awful. Their schedule has not prepared them at all to play the likes of OSU, MSU, Wisco, IL, etc...He has a lot to do with how a schedule is built. They are 1-2 players short right now - would be nice if Coble didn't quit or by some reports get pressured to leave. He is not the right guy to take the program to the next level....
